We are older, so 3/4 of our parents are no longer living. Janaki’s mother is still alive, but lives on the West Coast, and is not able to travel.
On this page, we’d like to briefly introduce you to the families that we come from, and the members who are still with us, who will now be joined by our union.
The photo of Constance Buck was taken in Sri Lanka in 1968, when Mom was pregnant with Janaki’s only sister Nalini. Constance is still living, aged 92, in Portland, OR.
Nimal Kuruppu sadly died an untimely death, falling off a boat that he had designed and drowning at the age of 44, in 1982.
Sadi is a senior in high school, and JJ is a junior. They will be part of the wedding, so you’ll meet them both!
And Harvey’s family…
Sarah & Saul were married for 64 years, until Saul passed away in 2007. This photo was taken in Florida, where they retired after raising their family in Pittsburgh. They ran a restaurant supply business together. Sarah passed away in 2017.
We were delighted to have Bonnie at our wedding, and many of you who joined us for the celebration had the pleasure of meeting her. Bonnie is a long-time resident of Plum, PA, outside of Pittsburgh, where she lives with her beloved Golden Doodle, Barry. Her husband, Charlie, passed away some years before she retired, in 2018.
